You Are
To Javonte Yolon Lofton:

Babe, you're my subject during the most boring class

And the same one who helps me with my math

You're my supporting details when I'm sad

And the same one who tells me I didn't do that bad

You're my topic sentence when I'm with my friends

And the same one who keeps my conversation from saying end

You're my transition from business to love

And the same one who showed me what love truly was
